I have encountered the same exact thing I have the new outlook version 16.In the small dialog window that opens, click Name …. Go back to the previous screen and select Calendar. Give the calendar a name and then click “Import. If you are making use of shared calendars in Outlook 2016 you may find that not all appointments are showing in the calendar or are disappearing. The Exchange account was active in System Preferences -> Internet Accounts and the Calendar was checked to sync, but the Exchange calendar did not show up in the sidebar of the Calendar application. Select Download Address Book… from the context menu.
